Introduction to Philsafe

   PHILSAFE was primarily established to cater to the crewing requirements of Enterprises Shipping and Trading S.A. (ESTSA)  www.estsa.gr - a ship-owning company based in Athens, Greece.

   Although this Ship Owner has been in operation since year 1973 and has since grown with more than 85 vessels of different types, it is only in the year 2012 that the company decided to use Filipino seafarers to man the vessels. The decision by the top management came as a result of a serious reflection against the widely acknowledged skill of Filipino seafarers: this was viewed as too overwhelming to be simply ignored. For this reason the management of ESTSA teamed up with the seasoned local maritime personalities in the Philippines and thus paved the way for the forming of Philsafe Marine Services Inc. as a manning agent.

   Then months after the incorporation of Philsafe, a new welcoming development came into the scene.

   A new ship management company established in Dubai, U.A.E., the Central Ship Management Ltd. (CSM) www.centralships.com, also signed an agreement with Philsafe, thereby appointing the latter as the manning agency for the crew requirement of her vessels. This ship and technical management company may have been a new player in the industry, but absolutely the people behind the newly formed company are armed with solid reputation as well-experienced marine managers whose past achievements in the maritime management sector have been punctuated exceptionally. For this, it is expected sooner than anticipated that CSM will be in the upper echelon of ship managing companies.

   Moving on, Philsafe has effectively become a manning agent of shipping companies from Athens and Dubai - the Enterprises Shipping and Trading S.A. and the Central Ship Management Ltd. respectively. Both companies have high expectation of getting the most competent Filipino officers and crew for their vessels and expect Philsafe to oblige without fail.
